Eugene delivers biosecurity science and risk advice across the Ministry for Primary Industries’ marine sector to underpin decision making. Eugene’s role in the programme is to provide scientific advice and oversight, and to facilitate involvement of MPI’s technical experts. This programme represents an opportunity to establish communities of practice based on sound knowledge, which is critical to the success of New Zealand’s marine biosecurity system.
